I love New York City. I'd visit NYC every month, if I could. I'd take long weekends and drive up, do a little sight-seeing, some shopping, some people-watching, and see a Broadway show, then get right back in the car and head home. No sweat.
Oh, to be young and wealthy!
These pics are from my trip to NY on May 16. My buddy won tickets to Saturday Night Live's season finale, and was kind enough to invite me to go with. The season finale, by the way, was hosted by Will Ferrell (Yes, he did a "Jeopardy" sketch), and the musical guest was Green Day.
No small potatoes, there.
But I was SUPER psyched to see the surprise guests: Tom Hanks, Mya Rudolph, Amy Poehler, Anne Hathaway...oh, and Paul Rudd! *sigh*
I screamed for Paul Rudd. I did. At the end of the show, the last sketch. There's a little bit of silence, and I shriek like a banshee, "Paul Rudd, I love you!".
And my husband still loves me. Imagine that.
Pics 2 and 4 above are of the apartment building that Flight of the Conchords "live" in. I had little butterflies in my stomach, thinking that maybe...just maybe...Jemaine would walk out the door and onto that stoop as I posed there.
Pathetic, huh? :-D
